Victoria Carter (Torres-Vega), LICSWPsychotherapist/Executive DirectorI graduated with my Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston College School of Social Work, and I am independently licensed in the state of MA and NH. As a psychotherapist, I specialize in working with adults, families, and adolescents who may be experiencing, or have experienced, anxiety, identity issues, and relationship struggles. I also work with individuals who may be struggling with life transitions that may be difficult for them to navigate through alone.
I immigrated to the United States when I was younger from Germany, and I am both Puerto Rican and German. I provide sessions in English, Spanish, and German to clients. I currently provide telehealth sessions Monday through Friday, and offer Saturday sessions in the morning. There may be times where Quinn joins in on telehealth sessions, or just walks around chewing on his bones in the background. As a clinician, I use person-centered therapy and see our therapeutic relationship as a parallel process to our outside world. It is important that you are able to feel comfortable being yourself in our session, and it is through this approach that I hope to create a safe space. In my free time, I can be found going on hikes and walks with Quinn, and I frequently spend time in nature. I am also a lover of the sun, but often find myself indoors when it gets colder out. I enjoy traveling to experience new cultures, and often return back to Puerto Rico and Germany to visit my family and friends.
