Lisa Vicente, Graduate Intern

Hi, I’m Lisa Vicente, a dedicated first-year social work intern with a heartfelt passion for helping others. I'm currently pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at Walden University, and I’m committed to making a positive impact in my community.
I believe in the power of empathy and active listening, and I strive to understand the unique challenges faced by individuals and families. I have a special interest in mental health advocacy, and women's empowerment, as I aim to create safe spaces where individuals can thrive.

As a proud mother of a teenage daughter, I know how crucial it is to nurture relationships and support the next generation. I’m also passionate about self-care practices, believing that taking care of ourselves is essential to effectively support others. Outside of my academic and internship commitments, I enjoy taking walks, spending time with family and friends, and watching reality tv.
